Stéphane Arnaud

AFP editor in chief for International Photography.

Began his career in the photo department of French daily newspaper Libération and at the Imapress photo agency before joining AFP as a photo editor in 2000. With a master’s degree in History and a diploma from the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme in Paris, Stephane became deputy editor-in-chief for photo in charge of ImageForum (the AFP photo platform) in 2005. 

Darrin Zammit Lupi

Contractor photographer with Reuters since 1997. 

Despite travelling extensively all over the world, it is in and around his home country of Malta that he has done what he believes is his most important work, documenting the plight and tragedy of migrants trying to reach European shores from Africa, culminating in the publication of his book Isle Landers in 2014.  Its accompanying exhibition has been seen in Malta, France, Luxembourg, Australia, Japan and the U.S. He won the Mediterranean Journalism Award in Photography in 2017, and holds a Masters degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of the Arts, London.

George Steinmetz

Photographer with over thirty years of fieldwork for The New York Times, National Geographic Magazines.

Won numerous awards in photography including three prizes from World Press Photo, and the Environmental Vision award from Pictures of the Year for his work on large-scale agriculture for The New York Times Magazine. He has published four books: African Air, Empty Quarter, Desert Air, and New York Air, and is currently working on a long term project to document the global food supply.

Michael Kamber

Director of the Bronx Documentary Center.

Mike worked as a photojournalist for more than 25 years before founding BDC in 2011, an educational space dedicated to social support through photography and film. Between 2002 and 2012 he worked for The New York Times, won several awards such as the World Press Photo and American Photo Images of the Year. Kamber is an adjunct professor at Columbia University.
